Drilling Construction of The World’s Longest Cross Sea High-Speed Railway Bridge
On August 10th, the first bored pile of the main tower pier of the Beihang Road Bridge Drilling Construction. The world’s longest cross sea high-speed railway bridge – Hangzhou Bay Cross sea Railway Bridge, was successfully drilled in Haiyan.
The Hangzhou Bay Cross Sea High Speed Railway Bridge spans the entire sea and is designed with ballastless tracks. It is a double track high speed railway bridge with a design speed of 350 kilometers per hour. It is currently the longest and highest construction standard high-speed railway cross sea bridge under construction in the world.
The Hangzhou Bay Cross Sea High Speed Railway Bridge has a total length of 29.2 kilometers. It contains three waterway bridges in the north, middle, and south. As well as approach bridges across embankments, sea areas, and shallow areas. It is a super long high-speed railway bridge cluster project.
The bored pile of the No. 8 main tower pier of the North Channel Bridge constructed by China Railway Bridge Bureau was the first to achieve drilling during the construction of the main pier.
There are a total of 52 drilled piles installed on the 8th main tower pier. The 10th pile is being constructed this time, with a pile length of 129.5 meters, a pile foundation diameter of 2.5 meters, and a drilling depth of 151 meters. The silt and sand layers in the stratum are thick, making it difficult to form holes and piles.
The bridge started construction in November 2022 and is expected to be completed by the end of 2027.

If the whole roll of wire rope needs to be cut off, the wire rope on both sides of the cut off part should be tied firmly with iron wire before cutting off. Especially for the multi-layer anti-rotating wire rope, it can be fused.
1. During construction on the soft soil ground, it is easy to attach soil to the track and track link. Therefore, the track shall be slightly loosened to prevent the attached soil from exerting abnormal stress on the track link. 2. When constructing on the ground with pebbles, the track should also be slightly loosened, so that the bending of the track shoe can be avoided when walking on the pebbles. 3. When constructing on firm and flat ground, it is better to adjust the track slightly.

The connection end of the wire rope of the rotary drilling rig and the elevator is often immersed in mud, which is very easy to cause corrosion, so the fastening of the wire rope clamp and the wire breakage at the end of the wire rope should be checked frequently. If there is obvious wire breakage near the end of the elevator, the short wire can be partially cut off and then connected with the elevator again. However, the total length of the wire rope must be guaranteed during the cutting process, meet the requirements for minimum number of coils on the winding drum.

The auger drilling rig is simple in structure and fast in installation. The operator only needs to connect the drill pipe with the power head. Drill pipes are usually installed and used according to different conditions. The rotary drilling rig has more components than the auger drilling rig. In terms of Kelly bar, interlocking Kelly bar, friction Kelly bar and combined Kelly bar are mostly used, which can be directly put into place during operation.
